Musical History
In 2009, Annabel began her musical journey by having flute lessons via the Luton Music Service (LMS). She continued having lessons with the LMS for 3 years before having external teachers hired by her high school and college.
In March 2010, as her first concert, she performed in a Woodwind Whirlygig, a concert run by the LMS. This was where musical students from schools in Luton were combined together to rehearse and perform an evening concert within a day.
Started attending Saturday Morning Music School, a music school run by the teachers and staff of the Luton Music Service in September 2010.
At the LMS Spring Concert 2011, Annabel played ‘(Meet) The Flintstones’ in Junior Orchestra. This was her first concert performance as part of an rehearsed ensemble.
Between the years of 2012 and 2016, regularly rehearsed and performed in end-of-term concerts with the Luton Music Service, especially with Intermediate Orchestra. She always looked forward to performing in their annual Family Concert which was held every spring.
Annabel studied GCSE Music at Lea Manor High School between 2014-2016.
In 2014, having borrowed many flutes from the LMS over some years, Annabel was lucky enough to purchase her own flute.
She decided to study Music A-Level in 2016 at Luton Sixth Form College. One of her teachers included Richard Sisson, one half of the popular 80’s musical duo ‘Kit and the Widow’.
In September 2016, Annabel became a member of Luton Youth Orchestra as well as Luton Concert Band (at the time, known as Challney Concert Band).
In December 2016, Annabel played the flute and piccolo in the band for her college’s Christmas production of 'Chicago'. Similarly, she joined the band once again for the production of ‘Beauty and the Beast' in December 2017.
In November 2017, Annabel’s A-Level Music composition was premiered at the Bear Club in Luton. The piece was composed for oboe and piano and was written alongside the help of Richard Sisson.
In March 2017, she celebrated 100 years of Jazz music by getting involved with the Jazz Ticket project. In partnership with Luton Sixth Form College, Annabel got the opportunity to rehearse and perform songs with her fellow college music students, the NU Civilisation Orchestra and Tomorrow’s Warriors.
Annabel competed in the Regional Festival of Music for Youth in 2017 with Luton Youth Orchestra.
As her last concert performance with Luton Youth Orchestra in July 2018, they performed the world premiere of ‘Turning Towards the Sun’. This was a newly commissioned piece composed especially for the orchestra by Simon Speare, the Head of composition at The Royal College of Music’s Junior Department.
Completed her ABRSM Grade 8 flute exam with a distinction in the summer of 2018.

Got accepted to study Music and Psychology at Bath Spa University (BSU) in the summer of 2018.
Became a member of the Bath Spa University Orchestra, Wind Band, Flute Ensemble and Choir in September 2018.

Performed with BA Music students at the summer 2019 Gala concert at the Assembly Rooms in Bath. She performed alongside her university ensembles.

In October 2019, Annabel was appointed as Musical Director for BSU Singers Society.
In November 2019, Annabel performed 'African Sanctus' with the BSU Choir for a concert at the Wiltshire Music Centre, Bath.
Whilst conducting and singing, Annabel first led the BSU Singers for a performance at the American Museum in Bath in December 2019. This involved performing a range of Christmas carols in a private concert for the visitor members of the museum.
With funding from the charity Music For All, Annabel purchased her own piccolo in December 2019.

In April 2020, Annabel became a member of the newly-formed Crescent Chamber Orchestra in Bath. Due to national lockdowns throughout the year, the orchestra were finally able to meet for their first rehearsal in January 2021. The orchestra performed their first concert in July 2021, which included the premiere of 'Capacities for Orchestra (2021)' by upcoming composer Paige Halliwell.

In May 2020, Annabel was elected President of the Music Society at Bath Spa University for 2020/21. The society's best achievement was producing a music video arranged and edited by the society members. During the academic year of September 2021, Annabel was appointed as Music Assistant at Alleyn's School in Dulwich, London.
​
In September 2022, Annabel started depping for Letchworth Sinfonia, an amateur orchestra within Bedfordshire.
